A study has resulted in nine recommendations for action in 2024 for a long-term strategy for the preservation and accessibility of dance archives.

Documentation Symposium (2016)

In October 2016, representatives from German, Austrian, and Swiss dance archives met to discuss the challenges of the digital world for archives.

 

Cologne Declaration (2016/2020)

The Cologne Declaration of the VDT was drafted in 2016 during a symposium. It calls for archives to be equipped with the necessary professional equipment and for support with conservation measures and the digitization of collections in order to secure the long-term existence of archives and provide modern access to the cultural heritage of dance. It was revised in 2020.
